sarab.co is an interactive web comic where readers get the chance to participate in shifting the direction of the story based on a voting system. The basic concept is: "You Vote We Draw". Every Monday and Thursday a new page of the comic is released to the public and each page ends with two decisions for the readers to vote from. After each release the voting remains open for 72 hours, the decision that receives the most amounts of votes gets executed in the following page so on. Overview of the story: As a result of the environmentally irresponsible usage of technology by humankind, the natural balance was destroyed. To prevent the potential occurrence of a similar disaster in the future, the survivors established a new social system where scientific knowledge is restricted to a select group of individuals. These individuals are recruited as young children, using a series of tests, and moved into temple-like centers, called hubs, where they are taught the sciences. These hubs, located in different cities, also serve as control stations for the various physical phenomena and are interlinked through an elaborate network. The system manages the weather and other natural powers to maintain a liveable and sustainable ecosystem. The rest of the population has no access to scientific knowledge and have reverted instead to agriculture as a means of living and the arts for entertainment. Sarab, an indecisive student at the Hub of Caldaia, witnesses the murder of his mentor and vows to avenge his death. His quest will ultimately lead him to unveil many hidden truths. It is up to the readers to shape the destiny of Sarab based on the decisions they choose.

7ayyak (pronounced Hayyak) is an iPhone application that aims to shift the broadcasting of social events to the new portable medium of mobile phones. The application makes use of GPS data to allow the casual user to check out events and activities that are happening in the vicinity. The events page gives the user brief information about the event, a map with the event pinned; an average of the rating users gave the event, and contact information of the poster. Users can sign up in a one step process and start posting their own events as well. Adding an event is a three step process wherein the users can input descriptions, choose timings, categories and pick out locations for their event to be recorded in. The application provides an easy to use settings page in which the user can tweak and modify their login status, the circumference in terms of kilometres of the events they want to see, as well as the time frame the events fall in. The strengths of 7ayyak are its easy to use interface, its interactive mapping and displaying of events, and it’s applying of up to date social interactions to a slow to change medium.
