Educational Gate is a free educational website, offering information and interactive services to students in Syria, helping them throughout their educational life from elementary to post graduation and employment. The site gives businesses the opportunity to effectively present their brands, to their prospective customers of students, parents and schools personnel and teachers, through sponsorship of services and advertisement. It provides schools the means to communicate with students and parents. with their own website allowing it to post services they offer, grades, results, news, student evaluation, schedule, calendar, plans, forums, activities etc.
For students, it suggests a studying schedule before the exam, and answers for all official exams just a few hours after each one is complete. Once the results are released, an email and SMS are sent to the student. Students can also access statistics, comparisons, view top students etc., as well as do a Personality Test or benefit from a Guide to Success. |

The Educational Gate is an educational website for the Syrian students at all levels: elementary, secondary and university level. It contains rich and high quality information about the educational system in Syria, and it offers various services such as book library, indexes of the Syrian universities, the official results of major exams and on-line scientific and cultural competitions. The website is interactive as it includes a discussion forum, on-line investigations and questionnaires. It shows the latest news of the ministries of education and higher education targeting the students. The Educational Gate’s user interface is clear, elegant and animated one; additionally the access to the information is very easy. It is worth mentioning that this project won the first award in the Entrepreneurship Competition 2010 in Syria. |

Taalam.TV aspires to encourage the usage of multiple educational devices in schools and become the leading resource/reference centre for Arab educators, teachers and children. The website displays curriculum-related educational videos of 3 minutes, produced by Al Jazeera Children’s Channel (JCC), to help students better understand the lessons in an enjoyable and simple manner. For example, video-on-demand, graphics and text can be used to explain and demonstrate the functions of the human eye’s components. Aside from Biology, the portal also offers material for History, Geography, Information Technology, Earth Sciences/Geology, Physics, Chemistry, Art, as well as the Arabic language. The audio-visual means make education more entertaining and at the same time allow students to store, process and recall information more rapidly. |

Taalam.TV, is the first educational site intended for the Arab world provides a service as video on demand via the Internet. Site is dedicated to schools, including students and teachers (the levels of basic education for now). Taalam is easy to use and navigate. The design and layout very well matches its audience - children. It is a really innovative, fresh and unique website. There is great use of video and audio and the coding was efficient. |
